hahaha

great (relatively) stuff from a mod on clock day. i think your my new favorite mod now jonas. "holy fuck a talking watermelon" cracked me up, and i dont know why. make another? please?

ahaha

another excellent episode! maybe you remember my poetic review about the tire iron and the hospital from the other episode? probably not, but this one i have to say was even better.

not like i need another long review to explain this one either. your stuff is just excellent ( /jealousy). im really looking forward to seeing more.

and just when i thought i had something funny for this review, you used "beating meat" in the moral. little disappinted, but i kid of figured you had thought it out first.

gotta love it. 5/5

wow

this is one of those times where i dont need a long-winded and intense review. great stuff!

it was like staring excellence in the face, and then being hit with a tire iron from behind, only to find yourself face up in a hospital bed with hot chicks all around you.

i do want to know where you got the moral from. did you make that up yourself? it was so perfect.

El-Cid responds:

lol . . . poetic review. Poetic.

Ya, I put this small animation together, and pulled the nugget of wisdom out of my ass (no pun intended).

lots to say

Alright, well i hadnt intended to write a review of this, but reading some of the others has really made me want to. ill get to a few things later, after i actually REVIEW the movie:

graphics: to be honest, everyone knows that the graphics arent great. mostly black and white, just an outline of a girl, no background, and little movement. however, i think that was the perfect way to go for this subject even if not visually appealing.

style: i thought the simple fbf worked excellently with the flash subject. people whining about the look need to shut up and stop complaining. this looks pretty good, especially for fbf.

sound: i really like that song. not much else to say.

violence/interactivity: n/a

humor: laughed a bit when she fell dancing, but nothing great.

overall: i didnt look at this through one lens or the other. i watched for both animation, cleanliness of style, and message. together, they came across well. not the best obviously, but not many tributes would have been better.

ok, there are WAY too many people being straight up ass holes. i dont care how heartless or insensitive you claim to be, writing a shitty review about "everyone being too emotional" is no excuse. if you want to be a jerk, please dont do it here. reviews are for the movie, not for you to bash the author cause you like pretending to be an ass.

however, the people saying negative things are about the only ones ive seen actually give a description of the movie and their opinions on each part (not all of course). when you review, the point is to do just that, REVIEW. not sit here and say "o boo hoo you made me cry. free 5 for you" or something like that. Thats bull shit. also, the people who criticize this flash are all being marked as abusive. you CANNOT flag a review for correct usage of the system. all the reviews out there that dont even address the movie need to be flagged, or atleast marked as unhelpful.

one more thing: keep religion out of this. you have no place telling this author his/her friend is going to hell for committing suicide. you havent died and dont know what comes with it, so dont try and be a hardcore religious person by saying hell is the girls destination. its things like that that get you sent to hell. if you believe in it, of course.

you cant bash this author because people voted high on the movie. its not the authors fault that happened. they simply wanted others to know they cared about their friend, and if everyone voted 5 then thats everyone's problem, not the artist's.

be more open-minded about this. you cant review it and be negative cause "you only care about the movie" or positive because "its all about the message". its both, and if you review you should write in that manner.

in my opinion, this should be registering somewhere around 3.4-3.5, but probably not at a 4.

i wonder how many people mark this as abusive, just because i didng give it a 10...

whee!

hahaha that was great! i think that after watching this flash, you are the new king of random. i mean, being on newgrounds you see some things for sure, but that was the best mix of random and comedy i think ive witnessed here.

some quick notes:
graphics were good, but the frequent changes made it a little difficult to tell. still, only docking a few because there was not a lot of focus on them, which benefited the flash in my opinion.
style is great and hilarious. easy ten.
sound was as random as the flash. good quality and also funny.
interactivity and violence n/a
humor. what else can i say. chock-full of it and splendid overall. hope to see more of these soon, cause i laughed out loud the entire time.

quite enjoyed your work. looking forward to another randomness is deadly flash. 9/10 and 5/5. good work!

wow

this is by far your best work to date. that was incredible and just freaking hilarious from start to finish. so random, yet it fits together perfectly and its all so true.

what can i really critique about this? your graphics are amazing for things that appear entirely hand-drawn and animated frame-by-frame. your style is so original and your jokes are always top of the line, even when its a subject that has been joked again and again. the sound is good quality, and even though the instructional video was grating and started to get on my nerves, the movie wouldnt have been the same without it. not a whole lot in violence, because it just wasnt necessary, so that part really doesnt count. same with interactivity, unless you count laughing, cause then youd get another ten. and finally, as ive stated, humor was excellent and unique to you. plenty of perfect scores.

all in all, this is just a flat-out great flash animation. its hard to believe you did all this by yourself. i always enjoy watching your work, and now im looking forward to it even more.

10/10 and 5/5. instant classic and instant favorite.

a fourth!

wow, im really glad you put this up so quickly. i was about on my way to bed, checked the portal a final time, and noticed the fourth episode. in fact, in my opnion, this was by far your best work in the series. i was cracking up the entire time. "I've got to hang on!" haha classic.

so i guess ill use the same rundown from before (maybe you remember it?). graphics, obviously, from a video game so a seven there. decent for it being the work of another company. style is good. like i said, you manage the video game voice over in an excellent manner. which brings me to sound. great quality, i think a little better than the others, but that could just be me. violence went up with the explosion (haha looked awesome :P). and humor was fantastic. i laughed really hard at this part. "I've got to pull myself up. O wait I already did." probably my favorite line in there.

so overall, you get excellent marks. loved the episode and the series. im hoping to see another of some kind from you soon, cause this sets the bar pretty high for your future works. keep on making em, and ill keep reviewing em.

10/10 and 5/5 this time. "I've even got my own theme music." haha!

TX2 responds:

Thanks. The saga isn't over, But this is a good place to rest (gives a feeling of closure, but still leaves it wide open for more.)
The reason these all came out so fast, is in fact they were not originally 3 seperat episodes but one altogether. I split it up because of the filesize, and Don Keyote 2-1 didn't have a good ring to it.
Anyway I've got a lot of other things to get out of the way Before I start Don Keyote 5 (and most likely soon to be 6, 7, as well.)

By the way, That changing your name thing a few hours back really through me off for a bit.

back again

seeing as how i reviewed number 2, i figured three would be appropriate now. just like the previous episode, i really enjoyed watching this. in fact, i have to agree with the other voters in that i think this was actually better overall.

graphics, style, sound and interactivity are all pretty much the same as the other episode. graphics get a little lower because they come from a video game, style is pretty high because you pulled off the voicing over so well, sound was good quality and funny so it scored well too and interactivity is not applicable. there seemed to be a touch more violence in this episode, but i couldnt remember too well so i went up two points anyway. and because i thought that this was a funnier episode, had to bump up the humor.

overall pretty even: 9/10 and 4/5. lookin forward to number 4.

TX2 responds:

I figured everyone would like this one the best, I'm surprised no one is shocked that the windmills actually are evil.

good

hey that was pretty good! really enjoyed watching this. plently of us have see the whole voice-over-a-video-game thing, but rarely is it ever good quality like this.

obviously i cant knock the graphics because they come directly from a game. however, i only went with a seven because you did not make them yourself. thats not criticism, just the truth. liked the style though. these flashes can be hilarious (As yours was) when properly made. moving on, the sound was excellent as well. you told the story well and had some pretty good jokes and lines. not much violence, and thats pretty self-explanatory anyway. interactivity n/a. and finally humor: clever, funny, good run time and put together well. had fun watching.

8/10 and 4/5. ill be reviewing number two in a second :)

TX2 responds:

"Voice-over-a-video-game" movies are usually not so good because the games were meant to be played, not to be used for movies. A lot of things put in the game to make it play easier like Auto Adjust cameras can make filming all the more difficult. You need to find and exploit every glitch you find, and the First person view become a lot more useful. Then during the editing there is a lot of playing the footage Backward, slowing down or speeding up, and cutting from one shot to another without making it look fake. and anything you add into the movie Via Flash must be carfully and suttley done so it doesn't look obvious. There's a lot of work in it (except in Super smash bros. there's this camera mode on it that makes it SO much easier) But the reward is great.

interesting

wow. im thoroughly impressed with this flash. i could not have guessed it would turn out so well. i loved your style. the blended drawings were spectacular, and the way you made the transitions so fluid were great. your drawing style is nice, so that pretty much accounts for graphics also. good, tranquil sound. perfect timing for me cause im getting ready for bed soon. obviously no stuff like violence.

really enjoyed the peacefulness of the entire flash. it really helped calm me down cause i was in a bit of a bad mood. i may have to come back and watch this again...and again and again.

8/10 and 5/5. loved it. hope to see more soon.

LuckyLollipopLad responds:

Cheers man. I better get to bed myself...

Glad it helped calm you down. I couldn't have hoped for a better reception.

I'd like to do another haiku animation, but I'll try and make the animation even smoother.

More bed-time fodder for you. :-)

Btw, I give your review 7ish.

It's really great to hear it released some of your aggro. When you praise the blended drawings though, I'm unsure which ones you're on about.

Night night.
