haha excellent!

thoroughly enjoyed this one! the face on the hamster the entire time was really getting to me haha. and of course the guest appearance by the challenger was quite unexpected, i think people will definitely go for that.

also very much enjoyed how you kept the beat/bass with the dance moves. thought it was a nice touch.

what else is there to say? great work and hope you don't stay away so long again!

tap5y responds:

Will do my best to do something again soon (:

brilliant

incredibly well done. flows smooth as silk. a classic little tale of about a feeling you can't seem to shake - that takes quite a twist o_O haha

i really liked the shading/lights you used; they really brought it all together in my opinion. very professional look and feel and superb animating. one of the best i have been fortunate enough to see pass through the portal.

can't wait to see more! amazing work.

redminus responds:

Thanks!
I'm glad you liked the lighting and tones, I thought a lot of it was maybe too subtle but it's good to know that it comes across :D

i guess

i'm a little confused. partly by how this passed (no offense) but mostly why you submitted it.

your other work is not half bad, it's actually pretty good. there were elements of smoothness here even though you no doubt did this on a scale of minutes.

i would like to see you actually try your hand at animating (not sprites, you proved you can do that), but something more fleshed out than this.

hard to give you more support for this, but i'll be on the lookout.

HoboNoah responds:

This was all and all a joke, as for how it passed, I'm really not sure. And I've actually been animating for about four or five years, when it comes to actually animating, my problems are as follows: Inspiration/Initiative, I lack any reason to put much effort into anything. Drawing ability, While I HAVE been animating for years, that mostly consisted of characters as simple as stick figures, it definitely gave me a grip on animation, but proved no benefit in being able to draw. Thirdly, I have absolutely no perception of anatomy, that will likely be my next pursuit, it'd definitely help me in animation. All and all I appreciate the support as well as the feedback, and I'm quite frankly surprised I'd get a serious response on such a rediculous submission.

run its course

well, i think by now you've made your point. it's understandable that the commercials (ads, lineups, whatever) bother you, and i can agree to a point. they can be a little irksome. still, i believe the idea has run its course - the flashes are beginning to feel like spam as opposed to a parody.

the concept played well at first, if not particularly original. but at this point more is only overkill. maybe a little more in the way of puns/wordplay could have salvaged it, but people can only hear so much outright antagonism and anger.

good effort for the concept, though it does not require much technical skill/insight (not that i know much about working with flash, but this could be done in powerpoint). hopefully it's been cathartic and you can move on to a more dedicated project.

editorial

sorry you dont like us. maybe you could tell me why, cause your flash was TLDR.

i mean, it is easy to go find a site that generates a long-winded, rambling speech thats not pertinent to the topic at all. but thats just not as much fun as watching your actual movies about us :)

lamelamelame responds:

ehehee

wow

this is one of those times where i dont need a long-winded and intense review. great stuff!

it was like staring excellence in the face, and then being hit with a tire iron from behind, only to find yourself face up in a hospital bed with hot chicks all around you.

i do want to know where you got the moral from. did you make that up yourself? it was so perfect.

El-Cid responds:

lol . . . poetic review. Poetic.

Ya, I put this small animation together, and pulled the nugget of wisdom out of my ass (no pun intended).

a fourth!

wow, im really glad you put this up so quickly. i was about on my way to bed, checked the portal a final time, and noticed the fourth episode. in fact, in my opnion, this was by far your best work in the series. i was cracking up the entire time. "I've got to hang on!" haha classic.

so i guess ill use the same rundown from before (maybe you remember it?). graphics, obviously, from a video game so a seven there. decent for it being the work of another company. style is good. like i said, you manage the video game voice over in an excellent manner. which brings me to sound. great quality, i think a little better than the others, but that could just be me. violence went up with the explosion (haha looked awesome :P). and humor was fantastic. i laughed really hard at this part. "I've got to pull myself up. O wait I already did." probably my favorite line in there.

so overall, you get excellent marks. loved the episode and the series. im hoping to see another of some kind from you soon, cause this sets the bar pretty high for your future works. keep on making em, and ill keep reviewing em.

10/10 and 5/5 this time. "I've even got my own theme music." haha!

TX2 responds:

Thanks. The saga isn't over, But this is a good place to rest (gives a feeling of closure, but still leaves it wide open for more.)
The reason these all came out so fast, is in fact they were not originally 3 seperat episodes but one altogether. I split it up because of the filesize, and Don Keyote 2-1 didn't have a good ring to it.
Anyway I've got a lot of other things to get out of the way Before I start Don Keyote 5 (and most likely soon to be 6, 7, as well.)

By the way, That changing your name thing a few hours back really through me off for a bit.

back again

seeing as how i reviewed number 2, i figured three would be appropriate now. just like the previous episode, i really enjoyed watching this. in fact, i have to agree with the other voters in that i think this was actually better overall.

graphics, style, sound and interactivity are all pretty much the same as the other episode. graphics get a little lower because they come from a video game, style is pretty high because you pulled off the voicing over so well, sound was good quality and funny so it scored well too and interactivity is not applicable. there seemed to be a touch more violence in this episode, but i couldnt remember too well so i went up two points anyway. and because i thought that this was a funnier episode, had to bump up the humor.

overall pretty even: 9/10 and 4/5. lookin forward to number 4.

TX2 responds:

I figured everyone would like this one the best, I'm surprised no one is shocked that the windmills actually are evil.

good

hey that was pretty good! really enjoyed watching this. plently of us have see the whole voice-over-a-video-game thing, but rarely is it ever good quality like this.

obviously i cant knock the graphics because they come directly from a game. however, i only went with a seven because you did not make them yourself. thats not criticism, just the truth. liked the style though. these flashes can be hilarious (As yours was) when properly made. moving on, the sound was excellent as well. you told the story well and had some pretty good jokes and lines. not much violence, and thats pretty self-explanatory anyway. interactivity n/a. and finally humor: clever, funny, good run time and put together well. had fun watching.

8/10 and 4/5. ill be reviewing number two in a second :)

TX2 responds:

"Voice-over-a-video-game" movies are usually not so good because the games were meant to be played, not to be used for movies. A lot of things put in the game to make it play easier like Auto Adjust cameras can make filming all the more difficult. You need to find and exploit every glitch you find, and the First person view become a lot more useful. Then during the editing there is a lot of playing the footage Backward, slowing down or speeding up, and cutting from one shot to another without making it look fake. and anything you add into the movie Via Flash must be carfully and suttley done so it doesn't look obvious. There's a lot of work in it (except in Super smash bros. there's this camera mode on it that makes it SO much easier) But the reward is great.

interesting

wow. im thoroughly impressed with this flash. i could not have guessed it would turn out so well. i loved your style. the blended drawings were spectacular, and the way you made the transitions so fluid were great. your drawing style is nice, so that pretty much accounts for graphics also. good, tranquil sound. perfect timing for me cause im getting ready for bed soon. obviously no stuff like violence.

really enjoyed the peacefulness of the entire flash. it really helped calm me down cause i was in a bit of a bad mood. i may have to come back and watch this again...and again and again.

8/10 and 5/5. loved it. hope to see more soon.

LuckyLollipopLad responds:

Cheers man. I better get to bed myself...

Glad it helped calm you down. I couldn't have hoped for a better reception.

I'd like to do another haiku animation, but I'll try and make the animation even smoother.

More bed-time fodder for you. :-)

Btw, I give your review 7ish.

It's really great to hear it released some of your aggro. When you praise the blended drawings though, I'm unsure which ones you're on about.

Night night.
